The vaulted caveau, built in 1830, covers 95 m². We let it together with the grounds for
family gatherings: reunions, wedding brunches, christenings, birthdays. Your guests enjoy the
view in the shade of the old cedars, and everyone comes together in the caveau for the evening
meal, or as soon as it rains.
We do not take wedding parties: the estate has neighbours too close for the noise that involves.
How many people
- The caveau holds 60 people, seated or standing. That is the figure we hold to, the neighbours being close.
- The grounds hold 100, provided the caveau can shelter every one of them if it rains.
- Two ways in: one by a staircase, one on the level.
Price and booking
- 773 € for the caveau and the Saint Joseph room, which comes with it since the caveau has no kitchen.
- The caveau and the grounds are let on their own: you are not obliged to take a gîte as well.
- A 25 % deposit on booking, and a security deposit.
- We ask for proof of insurance.
- You are welcome to visit before you book.
- Cancellation follows our general terms of sale. Any stay begun is payable in full.
Allow at least a year for Ascension and Whitsun, several months for a three-day weekend, and one
to three months the rest of the year.
Season and hours
- The caveau is heated and let all year round. We advise against December, January and February.
- You may set up and decorate from 4 pm the day before, and clear up until 6 pm the day after.
- Music stops at 2.30 am and stays indoors: there is no music in the grounds, by day or by night.
- The grounds are let by day; they are not lit in the evening.
What we provide
- Sixty chairs, three new tables seating 10 to 12, and older tables with their cloths.
- Crockery, glasses and cutlery for 60 to 80 people; the sets are not all the same. If you would rather have one, RESTHO in Villefranche hires out what you need.
- Two gazebos, to put up and take down yourselves — ten minutes with six people — in our courtyard, not on the lawn.
- One charcoal barbecue per gîte. You may bring them together, as long as you put them back afterwards. Bring your own charcoal.
- Two toilets: one in our courtyard, the other near the room, under Saint Joseph.
Caterer, food and drink
- Choose your own caterer. You are just as welcome to cook yourselves, or to share the cooking between you.
- Bring your own drinks and wine: we charge no corkage.
- A DJ or a caterer plugs in at the Saint Joseph gîte. There is no socket out in the grounds.
A few rules
- You may hang your decorations on the walls and the beams.
- Lanterns and candles on the tables only. Confetti, petals, sky lanterns and fireworks are not allowed.
- Smoking is in our courtyard.
- Each gîte has its bin bag, to be emptied into the container; we take it from there.
- The swimming pool is not open to guests who are not sleeping on the estate, for safety reasons.
Parking and beds
- Eight to ten cars on our car park, as many at the Vigneronnage, and six to eight spaces opposite. In dry weather, the meadow below the car park; from June, once the hay is in, until October, the large car park above.
- The estate sleeps 45 people, in 15 bedrooms and 39 beds, if you take every gîte.
The Saint Joseph room covers 38 m² and holds 25 people, seated or standing. It suits
gatherings smaller than those of the caveau: a family meal, a birthday, the next day's brunch.
Take the Saint Joseph gîte for a weekend and
invite family or friends for a meal in the courtyard during the day, or in the room opposite if
the weather turns.
Price
- 361 € for the room on its own.
- It is included in the price of the caveau, 773 €, since the caveau has no kitchen.
- It is let on its own provided nobody is staying at the Saint Joseph gîte: the toilets are underneath it.
What is in it
- Tables and chairs for 25.
- A kitchen area.
- The toilets are opposite, under the Saint Joseph gîte.
- The room is heated, so it is let out of season too.
